Hope for tomorrow today
For many in our community with stressed budgets and financial challenges, a Thanksgiving dinner just isn’t possible. Support from our staff, volunteers and donors has helped make a fulfilling holiday possible for hundreds of families across Northern Virginia this holiday season.
Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, Cornerstones ensured that all deliveries were conducted using social distancing measures.

Employees from Navient gave nearly 6,000 cans and boxes of non-perishable food along with $25 grocery gift cards for families to purchase a turkey or other essential items for their Thanksgiving meal.“Having access to a warm meal is a luxury that most of us simply take for granted, especially on Thanksgiving,” said Brian Lampe, director, Navient. “We are proud of all the hard work and dedication of our employees, and we are grateful to once again have the opportunity to work with Cornerstones to ensure that families in our area will not go hungry on Thanksgiving.”
