Cornerstones welcomes the support of community groups, businesses and individuals who want to organize a Friendrasier and donate the proceeds to benefit our programs and services. Some of the different events include a golf tournament, a wine tasting, a casino night, a concert, a bake/candy/lemonade sale.

On August 19, artist Mercia Hobson & her co-exhibitor, Andy Black are hosting an Opening Reception of mixed media, found object exhibit and artwork sale at ArtSpace Herndon. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork will benefit Cornerstones.
Reston Association’s Rally for a Cause Tennis Tournament will take place on September 16th & 17th to raise funds for Cornerstones’ Laurel Learning Center. Registration is now open.

Recent Friendraisers Supporting Cornerstones
Every Monday in January 2017, Not Your Average Joe’s donated 15% of any purchase to Cornerstones when you mentioned our name.
The annual Ran It With Janet 50K was held June 3rd within Manassas National Battlefield Park. Proceeds from the event benefitted Cornerstones’ Embry Rucker Community Shelter.
Family Fundride, a bike fundraiser aimed to support the local community, took place June 4th. Cornerstones received a portion of the proceeds.
Kendra Scott donated 20% of their June 4th sales to Cornerstones to support the Embry Rucker Community Shelter.
The 11th Annual Reston Sprint Triathlon took place June 4th at Lake Newport Pool. The proceeds from the event benefitted Cornerstones.
On Dec.18th, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church hosted a Christmas concert presented by the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra to benefit Cornerstones.
On December 7th, 5% of Whole Foods Market NoVa net sales were donated to select charities, including Cornerstones.
On December 3rd, artists participating in the Gifts from the HeART Holiday Gift-Shopping Event donated ten percent of their proceeds from sales and throughout the months of December and January to help Cornerstones continue their important work.
On December 1st, proceeds from the German Christkindlmarket, sponsored by German Armed Forces Command, were donated to local charities, including Cornerstones!
On November 30th, the Dulles Regional Chamber members gathered for the “Holly” Days Mixer, where businesses and non-profits merrily mixed and mingled and announced Cornerstones would receive 10% of the event’s proceeds!
On September 17th & 18th Reston Association Rally for a Cause Tennis Tournament raised funds for Cornerstones’ Laurel Learning Center.
On June 5th the Tenth Annual Reston Sprint Triathlon, the largest triathlon in Northern Virginia, hosting almost 900 athletes annually, generously donated the proceeds to Cornerstones. Click here for details.
Proceeds from the St. Joe’s Men’s Society 21st Annual Open Golf Tournament benefited Embry Rucker Community Shelter.
The May 15th Family Fundride supported Cornerstones. Family Fundride was established in 2015 as a small organization that seeks to host events in the Northern Virginia community to raise awareness and funding for charities and non-profits.
Kendra Scott donated 20% of their January 7th sale proceeds back to Cornerstones to support the Capitol Steps Benefit Performance to empty the shelter.
The Joy of Christmas Concert hosted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Guests enjoyed beautiful holiday choral/orchestral music all while supporting Cornerstones.
German Christkindlmarket outdoor Christmas Market for family and friends with German arts & crafts and German food & beverages. Proceeds donated to local charities, including Cornerstones!
15th Annual Alternative Gift Market provided our community with a way to purchase “alternative gifts” and to give to others in a different and more meaningful way. The gift recipients are people in need around the world, who are not on anyone’s gift list. A gift card and an explanation of how the donation will be used to help a child, a family, or a community comes with each contribution made.
The Eyewear Gallery at Reston Town Center donated 50% of their EasyScan proceeds to Cornerstones. EasyScan is a 3-minute simple and affordable eye test, that scans deep into the retina’s protective pigmented layer, which can be damaged by Ultra Violet Rays and High Energy Visible Blue Light (HEVBL).
Stone Soup Sunday: 100 Bowls of Soup hosted a community soup making event using locally grown vegetables donated by local farmers for our neighbors in need.
Devotion to Children sponsored the Mother’s Day 4 Miler which provided funding for tuition assistance for our Laurel Learning Center families.
Postal Carriers collected over 11,500 pounds of nonperishable food donations for Cornerstones’ food pantry during the 2015 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Bikram Yoga Reston 10th Anniversary Celebration donations supported Cornerstones.
