We are working closely with government and community partners to continue critical supportive services safely and will be updating plans regularly. If you see someone in need or experiencing health concerns, please contact Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning at 1-703-222-0880 or “211” for guidance. We are providing referrals and support as able. Cornerstones is open and assisting our community at the following program sites and locations.

Volunteers
We request that shelter volunteers, including meal servers, front desk staffers, donations assistants, and childcare providers, as well as scheduled volunteer groups, refrain from coming in for the foreseeable future. We may extend this period as the situation evolves.

Alternative Ways to Help
We rely heavily on volunteer/donor support of the following resources. If at all possible, we hope that you will consider these alternate plans instead of an outright cancellation.

Cornerstones Food Pantry /Assistance Services, ASAPP
Pantry Donors
We anticipate a higher than usual demand for services from under-resourced families, as children are out of school and in need of meals typically covered by school meal programs. Adults who work hourly jobs and may be off from work will also be adversely affected. Seniors may be in greater need as they are shut off from family members and other usual resources. Please consider financial donations to assist during this time.
Food and Gift Card Donors—You may come into the pantry to make your donation. If you have reservations about entering the public building, call 571-323-1410 and a staff member may be able to assist you outside.
